Jamesway Hut Press

Jamesway Hut Press was founded by A. M. Langston to formalize the process used to publish his own works. We bring a unique skill-set, as well as years of experience built while refining and maturing those work flows. The mission of Jamesway Hut is to free up the time of poets to focus on their art instead of the heavy-lifting business tasks of self-publishing. Our partnership offers a unique, hybrid form of press services, tailored to the post-traditional publishing age. What we offer is a service created for writers, by writers.

We are open to a variety of poetry types, though we recommend familiarizing yourself with Jamesway Hut publications prior to submitting your own works. Currently accepted are original works or poetry in the English Language, which are considered regardless of author publication history and location around the globe. Writers from all walks of life, all backgrounds, are encouraged to submit.

Previously unpublished manuscripts should be submitted with a title bar (include name, phone number, email address) and table of contents. Any other pages, such as a cover letter or acknowledgements page, are optional. Font should be easily readable, such as Times New Roman or Garamond. Individual poems are not accepted.

Due to the volume of submissions we receive, please allow up to 6 months for consideration. Please also ensure you are submitting the best version of your manuscript, as we are unable to entertain re-submissions.

What we offer:

  • Assistance services, such as writing, ghost writing, and editing.
  • Art direction for interior design, cover art, and cover copy for paperback and ebook.
  • Promotion guidance and support.
  • Author copies upon publication, as well as additional discounted copies on demand.
  • Distribution through top global retailers.
  • Author retains all ownership and receives royalties.

Thank you for your interest in publishing with Jamesway Hut Press. Our open call period for works is currently paused for 2022. Please check our site in 2023.
